Licensing

Start Selling with The Milner Group

The Milner Group uses an online processing system called SureLC to get our agents licensed with carriers. This means that the producer will only need to complete licensing paperwork one time and Milner will take over the licensing process from there.

These documents can be faxed to 770-558-8913 Attn: Lisa Crabtree or emailed to Licensing@milnergroup.com.

Pre-Appointments

Since most of our carriers are not pre-appointment The Milner Group will automatically submit your licensing paperwork to the carrier once a new business application is submitted. The Milner group will not get you appointed with a carrier unless that carrier is pre-appointment or you have business. LTC carriers only appoint with new business submission.

State Licensing

State licenses will need to be applied for and maintained by the producer. State licenses must be active prior to accepting a new business application. Please note that if your commissions are being paid to an agency most states require that the agency hold an insurance license as well. If you are not sure of a state’s requirements please feel free to contact The Milner Group. State licenses can be applied for or renewed online through The National Insurance Producers Registry (NIPR).

Errors & Omissions Insurance (E&O)

Errors and omissions insurance is required by the majority of our carriers. The Milner Group does not have an E&O program or a company that we recommend but have attached some contacts in case E&O is needed. Also is a list of carriers that you can do business with without E&O coverage.
